So anyone who knows me or regularly stalks me on facebook knows that there’s two issues that I care very deeply about:
The first, Gay Marriage or what will hopefully be referred to as Marriage one day.
The second, Animals.
I love furry friends, although I’m not really sure who doesn’t… Maybe fish owners? Recently I’ve become acutely aware that some people somehow don’t love them and in turn end up seriously mistreating or abandoning their pets. Since I can’t watch one of those Sarah Mclachlan commercials for more than 30 seconds I try to help at the local level.
Recently I had the honor of joining forces with designer Eva Danielle to be part of her project Fashion Tails. The project puts 40 world famous fashion photographers with models/celebrities and animals from rescues that are available for adoption. In partnership with CharestWeinberg Art Gallery located in Miami, the photos will be on display during an exhibition dedicated to the work for 1 month in September. The opening reception will bring much needed attention to the cause through media exposure but most importantly homes for these animals.
Our shoot was made possible by the amazing Pet Rescue by Judy. The following images are entitled Feline Aves which is meant to show the juxtaposition of strong independent cat and soft sweet bird.
All of the cats and kittens in these images are up for adoption. If you’d like more information about pet rescue, to donate or to adopt any of these animals please visit http://www.petrescuebyjudy.com/ or like their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PetRescuebyJudy.
